Filler from niiku. Just what you all want amirite


1. Are you a vegetarian? Vegan?
neither.

2. What's your favorite food?
no one thing in particular, but there's a lot of stuff i really like. pomegranates; filet mignon; bleu, stilton or feta cheese; some sushis; a lot of pasta dishes ...

3. White bread or whole wheat?
i'm not picky. i think white bread makes good sandwiches, because i like to make thick sandwiches and i like bread i can squish flat, but whole wheat is good for toast.

4. What's for breakfast?
usually nothing, maybe a cup of tea. if i'm feeling really ambitious, maybe a bowl of cereal.

5. You're making a Dagwood sandwich. What's in it?
as niiku said, i don't like a sandwich i can't bite into! if i made a super awesome sandwich though it'd probably be something like Jack Daniel's honey mustard with London Broil roast beef, roast turkey, salami and provolone, gruyere or lorraine swiss and mozzarella cheese. hmm, oh, and a little bit of fresh red pepper, some cucumber or bread & butter pickles for crunch.
i miss working at Potbelly sandwiches, haha

6. What's on your pizza?
i usually share pizza or eat frozen ones, so. when i have a choice and get to pick my own, i like very VERY light sauce, extra cheese, pepperoni, hamburger, and ... whatever else. if i can pick i'll put both kinds of olives, green peppers and bacon on it too; but i like some weird pizzas as well, like gyro pizza (gyro meat, tzatziki sauce instead of tomato sauce) or taco pizza

7. Coffee, tea, milk, or soda?
Tea, milk, coffee, soda, in that order. I haven't had a tea i don't like yet, and i always drink it with a splash of milk or cream, the proper way. i prefer my coffee straight black, but if it's weak i'll mix some cream & sugar just to give it flavour. i like my coffee chewable.
actually i really don't like soda as a general rule, i like the flavours of a lot but i hate the carbonation, it tends to make my throat and nose burn really bad. when i have soda i tend to either sip on it all day and take hours to finish, or open the can/bottle and put it back in the fridge for a day and let it get flat before i drink it. :]

8. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?
White, dark (the darker/more cocoa the better), NEVER milk. i really dislike milk chocolate. i rarely eat candy bars because of it; i will eat imported candy (from Europe, or Japan) with milk chocolate though becuase i'll be damned if other countries can't make milk chocolate at least palatable. the milk chocolate in american candy, however, sometimes makes me nauseated if i just smell it.

9. Teetotal, beer, wine, or hard liquor?
preference depends on mood or occasion. just hanging out for a few hours? i'll take a mixed drink, or a beer or three. dinner? wine please. partying? then gimme the straight shots. :3
i hate Absinth and all variations, though.

10. Does cilantro taste like citrus, or like soap?
neither, it has a tangy, crisp flavour in the same way citrus is tangy and crisp, but it doesn't taste like citrus. or soap. cilantro tastes like cilantro. just like cinnamon tastes like cinnamon, or basil tastes like basil...

11. Is chorizo the greatest thing ever or is it totally disgusting?
i wouldn't say it's the greatest thing ever, but it's certainly not disgusting.

12. Do you use garlic like a vegetable or like a spice?
YESPLZ. i fucking love pickled garlic.

13. Onions: raw, cooked, or not at all?
no thanks. i really dislike onions, generally; though oddly green onions (and that family- chives, leeks) are fine, i'll eat those raw or cooked. white onions are acceptable if they are cooked to where they are either mooshy, or in big enough pieces i can pick out.
red onions, however, can fuck off and die. they are sweaty armpits in vegetable form. cooked or especially raw, i will not touch it if i can taste or smell that shit.

14. Does broccoli taste sweet or bitter?
uh, neither. it's ... broccoli. it tastes like broccoli. or, again, as niiku said... it tastes like green.

15. How do you feel about fish?
i've yet to eat a fish i didn't like :3 (granted i prefer some over others, mahi-mahi & tilapia are favourites)

16. How about sushi?
i'm not so big on the roe (i'll eat it though), and i'd never eat sea urchin again; but other than that, also: i've yet to eat a sushi i didn't like. with the exception of sea urchin.

17. Fave ethnic cuisine?
so far as geniune ethnic cuisine goes (by which i mean, take out Chinese doesn't count)... Japanese, British, German or Italian i suppose

18. What's your favorite fruit?
pomegranates! i also really really love black plums, and slightly less love most citrus fruits pears, peaches, apricots (i prefer them dried though wtf), bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, melons ... hell i think the only fruit i'm not fond of is most red apples (i dislike the mealy texture), and grapefruit.
i have also yet to eat a fruit i did not like!

19. Cheese - thumbs up or thumbs down?
10 thumbs up ;D the only kind of cheese i refuse to ever try is that maggot cheese stuff. everything else is fair game. i like far too many kinds of cheese.

20. Finally, favorite dessert?
i refuse to pick one! ... man i dunno, there isn't any one thing that really grabs me, i like a lot of stuff. lately i've become pretty fond of daifuku, especially the red bean paste, or mochi ice cream. oh, banana cream pie is fantastic, as long as it has no nuts - pecan pie and pretty much any fruit pie are also great. :3
